Vanessa is a Lead Planner and the creative eye behind Shh Events’ Instagram – bringing organization, heart, and thoughtful storytelling to every wedding she touches. As a proud Latina, she’s passionate about creating inclusive, intentional celebrations that reflect each couple’s culture, values, and love story. In addition to her work with Shh Events, she collaborates with other incredible Chicago wedding planners, helping couples bring their dream days to life with care, intention, and serious attention to detail.

Vanessa is passionate about creating weddings that feel deeply personal and true to the couple, not influenced by outside noise or expectations. She believes your wedding should reflect you – and that the best days are the ones where couples stay present, connected, and fully in the moment.

Outside of events, Vanessa is a proud homebody. You’ll likely find her baking cookies (her specialty), curled up with a good book, tackling a puzzle, or spending time with her husband and their black lab mix, Westley. She thrives in creative spaces and loves being part of a team that leads with warmth, inclusivity, and genuine care.
